Support Life-Saving Mental Health Care
Did you know that 67% of people experiencing homelessness nationwide currently have a mental illness, and 77% have had a mental illness at some point in their lives. This is much higher than the general population, where 13–15% of people have a psychiatric illness.
Ascencia offers comprehensive trauma therapy, psychiatry, occupational therapy, and children's art therapy to aid in our clients' healing. These services WORK, and are a large component of our success rate and 98% housing retention rate. Last year, Ascencia provided:
We rely on private donations and grants for these programs, that sometimes are few and far between. This is why we need your help.
We are low on Mental Health funding, and need YOUR support to continue to offer these life-saving mental health services.
Your donations to this campaign will directly fund a session for an Ascencia client! Below, we have included to cost of 1 hour of each service we offer. We are aiming to raise $3,000 in order to fund about 30 hours of mental health support!
